From 22 to 30 September, the city is transformed into a mixture of film set, red carpet, parades of film stars, journalists racing to get to the next media presentation and, above all, numerous onlookers who, for a moment, want to be protagonists of this Festival, which this year celebrates its 71st edition

The Oscar-winning Jabier Bardén will be the main protagonist. He will receive the highest honorary award, the Silver Shell, on the opening day, Friday 22nd.
For those who visit Donostia on these dates, a recommendation to follow the stars and celebrities closely... is the Kursaal Centre, the official headquarters of the Festival and where the premieres are screened and the different galas are held (red carpet beforehand) and the triangle that makes it up with the Hotel María Cristina and the Victoria Eugenia theatre.
